Yvonne Mhango is Bloomberg Economics’ Africa Economist, based in Johannesburg, with more than two decades of experience analysing African economies for institutional investors and pan-African corporates. She provides macroeconomic analysis and forecasts across the continent, with a focus on growth, policy, and market dynamics. 

Yvonne holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Cape Town. She was a top-ranked sell-side Africa economist for more than a decade, recognised by Financial Mail, Institutional Investor, and Extel surveys. Prior to joining Bloomberg Economics, she held senior roles at Renaissance Capital and Equity Bank.
