Rentia joined Standard Bank in 2014, focusing on positioning the Group as a leading funder of renewable energy and power projects in South Africa and across the continent. She has worked in the power sector since 2010, driving the growth and financing of energy projects and advancing greeneconomy initiatives across Africa.
Her experience spans multiple sectors, including roles in the Economic Research Department and Mining Business Unit at the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), as well as a secondment to the Minister of Minerals and Energy as an advisor. She also led IDC’s Wood & Paper and Green Industries teams, overseeing renewable energy, energy efficiency, fuelbased energy, and broader greeneconomy programmes.
Rentia holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics, an MBA, and an Executive Development Programme qualification. Her career includes roles at ABSA, IDC, and Standard Bank.
