Martin Deffontaines is a senior energy executive with more than twenty years of international leadership across the Upstream sector. He has held multiple executive roles spanning Exploration & Production strategy, investor relations, people & services, and talent management, and has served as Managing Director in both Yemen and Congo. 

Since 2022, he has been the Managing Director and Country Chair of TotalEnergies E&P Angola, where he leads one of the company’s most strategic portfolios and oversees its longterm development in the region.
