Lars Boilesen is the Executive Director and Co‑Chief Executive Officer of OPay, a leading digital financial services platform operating in Nigeria—its largest market—and selected emerging markets. OPay focuses on expanding access to financial services through technology, advancing financial inclusion across its footprint. In his role, Lars oversees regulatory engagement, market entry, and strategic expansion as the company continues to scale its payments and financial services ecosystem, now serving more than 40 million users.

A seasoned global technology executive, Lars has extensive experience in scaling international digital businesses and has held multiple senior leadership and board roles across the technology sector. Since 2021, he has served as Chairman of Bemobi S.A., a technology company specialising in digital payments, customer engagement and microfinance solutions. He was Chief Executive Officer of Napatech AS in 2024 and 2025.

Lars has also served on the boards of Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA, Co‑Builder AS and Resights AS. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Aarhus University and a graduate diploma in business administration from the University of Southern Denmark.
