Mr John Gandolfo is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), where he leads the institution’s financial strategy, reporting, capital mobilisation, blended finance activities, and global investor relations. His work strengthens IFC’s ability to crowd in private capital at scale for emerging‑market development.
He oversees IFC’s financial planning and treasury operations, ensuring the organisation’s financial architecture supports its development mandate. Previously, Mr Gandolfo served as IFC’s Vice President and Treasurer, managing its triple‑A credit standing and global capital‑markets activities, including innovative debt and equity mobilisation platforms.
Before his senior leadership roles at IFC, he served as Director and Chief Investment Officer of the World Bank’s Pension and Endowments Department and held a range of positions across asset management, risk analytics, and capital markets over a career spanning more than three decades.
Mr Gandolfo holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the George Washington University.
