Christopher Clarke is the CoFounder and Managing Partner of Inspired Evolution, bringing more than 30 years of experience in climate finance and private equity. He is widely recognised as a leading voice in Africa’s energy transition, with a career dedicated to mobilising capital for sustainable infrastructure across the continent. 

He coleads the firm’s strategic direction, investor partnerships, and engagement with industry, public, and multilateral stakeholders. Under his leadership, Inspired Evolution has grown into a climatefocused investment platform managing more than USD 1 billion in commitments and delivering renewable and distributed energy solutions across Africa. The firm’s portfolio spans over 10 GW of projects across 28 countries, supported by multiple successful exits. 

Christopher serves on the boards of several portfolio companies and oversees the firm’s climate impact and performance agenda. He is a recognised thought leader on netzero pathways, energy access, and climateresilient investment models, with a strong focus on scaling private capital to accelerate Africa’s sustainable energy future.
