Helen Lubamba is Executive Director and Head of Corporate and Investment Banking at Stanbic Bank Zambia, where she also serves on the Board. With a career spanning nearly 30 years across investment banking, corporate finance, and insurance, Helen has led transformational deals in renewable energy and climate finance. Her leadership recently resulted in the successful execution of three milestone power projects, including solar infrastructure and emergency energy financing, through innovative instruments like green bonds and project finance debt. Prior to Stanbic, she held senior positions at Liberty Holdings, XL Catlin, Lehman Brothers, and Citigroup. Helen holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics, Operational Research and Economics (Essex), a Master’s in Sustainable Finance (Frankfurt School of Finance), and is a CGMA/CIMA designation holder. Her ability to deliver complex, sustainability-focused financial solutions has made her a key driver of energy transition and green investment in Zambia and beyond.
