Christopher Clarke is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Inspired Evolution, where he co-leads the firm’s strategic vision, investor partnerships, and engagement with industry, public, and multilateral stakeholders. With over three decades of experience in climate finance and private equity, Christopher is a pioneer in advancing Africa’s just energy transition. 

Under his leadership, Inspired Evolution has secured over USD 850 million in commitments across dedicated climate-focused funds and delivered a track record spanning more than 10 GW of renewable energy and distributed power solutions across 28 African countries, with 19 successful exits to date. He serves on multiple boards, providing strategic guidance to portfolio companies while leading the firm’s climate impact strategy and performance agenda. 

Christopher is a recognized thought leader on Africa’s net-zero pathways, energy access, and resource-efficient climate technologies. His work emphasizes scaling clean energy infrastructure, promoting inclusive energy access, and catalysing private capital for climate solutions that transform Africa’s energy landscape.
