Tristan le Masne has cultivated a distinguished career at Alstom, holding several key leadership positions since joining the company in 2009. Since August 2024, he serves as the Managing Director for Alstom Southern Africa, where he plays a pivotal role in driving the growth of Alstom’s portfolio across the region. In this capacity, Tristan provides strategic oversight for the company's four entities in South Africa:

• Gibela Rail joint venture (JV) – which is manufacturing 600 commuter trains for PRASA Alstom Rolling Stock South Africa JV which is manufacturing 240 electric freight locomotives for Transnet,
• Bombela Maintenance JV that is maintaining the Gautrain system, and
• Alstom Ubunye which is manufacturing train components and servicing rolling stock.

Tristan holds a Master’s in Management from ESCP Europe, Paris - complemented by various leadership qualifications.
