Marcel Brühwiler leads IFC’s infrastructure investment operations in Southern Africa, covering energy, TMT, transport and municipal infrastructure. With over 30 years of experience, he has developed, financed and managed infrastructure projects across Africa, Asia and Europe.

Before joining IFC in 2012, he co-founded an investment advisory firm and held leadership roles in multinational energy and manufacturing companies. Marcel holds an MBA from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. He is based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
