Windaba: 4 October 2023

Windaba is an African owned event for wind energy stakeholders, which aims to bring key stakeholders including professionals, policymakers, academics, government representatives and civil society together to share expertise. At this year’s event, Windaba took a holistic view of wind, showcasing the impact, innovations and influence that wind energy is having in Africa and beyond. Our Head of Power, Rentia van Tonder participated in the panel discussions at the event. 

Powering a Sustainable Future for KZN: 9 October 2023

We hosted a breakfast networking event to drive and strengthen key relationships and feature commentary from an independent expert on the energy sector, who discussed the South African energy sector. Our experts on energy, ESG and renewables shared insights with clients whilst also showcasing our capabilities, credentials and solutions.

Africa Oil Week: 9–13 October 2023

Our Global Head of Energy and Infrastructure Dele Kuti was at the annual Africa Oil Week where he participated in a panel discussion about monetising Africa’s gas in the next 7–10 years. Africa Oil Week is the voice and platform for the African upstream and continues to position and drive the best interests of Africa surrounding the development of a balanced regional energy mix inclusive of all energy sources. 

Green Energy Africa Summit: 10–11 October 2023

Our Head of Power Rentia van Tonder presented at the Green Energy Africa Summit, which is the global platform for stimulating deals and transactions across the African energy industry. She was joined by governments, national regulators and utility companies, independent power players, investors, financial institutions and service providers. The summit drove deals and investment into energy projects, provide energy access and solutions for the continent and shape the future of Africa.

African Energy Week: 16–20 October 2023

African Energy Week is the African Energy Chamber’s annual event, uniting African energy leaders, global investors and executives from across the public and private sectors for 4 days of intense dialogue on the future of the African energy industry. Our Global Head of Energy and Infrastructure, Dele Kuti attended the event where he shared our perspective in discussions that will reshape the trajectory of the continent’s energy development.

National Oil Companies

This event aimed to bring together current and future leaders of the key African National Oil Companies (NOC) and provided training for middle level to senior NOC management on the appropriate range of financial products relevant to the NOC business environment while highlighting our expertise and capabilities.

Africa Investment Exchange: 1–2 November 2023

Africa Investment Exchange: Power & Renewables has become one of the meeting places of choice for Africa’s power sector stakeholders to discuss the big issues confronting the industry and its financiers. Our Head of Power Rentia van Tonder participated in the panel discussion about opening up traditional markets to attract the next generation of private investment.
