World to Africa 2024: Global Investors Signal Renewed Optimism in African Markets

The latest World to Africa 2024 report reveals a major shift in global investor sentiment toward African markets, with institutional investors increasingly positioning Africa as core component of their portfolios. African markets offer a wide range of options, from index funds and offshore bonds to direct onshore investments and private markets through open global and cross-border channels.

The substantial growth witnessed over the last 2 years is only the beginning. Institutional investors are leading the charge, with 50% planning to increase their allocations to African markets by 2024. The African portfolio is expected to grow by 40%, reaching an estimated USD 253 million in two years driven by the diversification benefits, attractive returns and unique opportunities that African investments offer to global investors.

The World to Africa report provides a detailed examination of the changes that have occurred since 2021, exploring the underlying factors that are driving investment in Africa.
