Inflation and disinflation trends on a regional basis, the trend has not been homogeneous and different regions on the continent have seen different inflation figures. East Africa is on a disinflation trajectory while the West African region is seeing stubbornly high number. Different corporates have adopted different strategies to address the situation, depending on whether inflation has gone up or down. Current account deficits have improved as well as access to FX bonds and increases in foreign exchange reserves.
