Alberto Gambacorta is a seasoned business developer and passionate leader in renewable energy, with over 15 years of experience delivering utility-scale projects across Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa. He is currently the executive vice president and general manager, sub-Sahara of Scatec, Norwegian renewable energy company, listed on the Oslo Exchange, with 5GW in operation and construction, and a growing pipeline in emerging markets.

Based in Cape Town, he leads Scatec’s sub-Saharan operations, including the landmark Kenhardt hybrid PV+BESS project, the largest of its kind in South Africa and the continent.
