When she’s not empowering others with her coaching and mentorship, her chosen creative outlet is interior design. She has a keen eye and is ahead of the curve when it comes to finding the perfect signature pieces for her home.

Marita is a banking and finance lawyer with 16 years' experience working on a range of debt and equity capital market transactions, particularly securitisation, conduits and hybrid instruments. Over the years Marita has enjoyed working on complex transactions which include a number of high-profile market ‘firsts’ among them such as the Republic of South Africa debut USD500,000,000 Islamic eurobond (sukuk) which received industry recognition and awards.  

A firm believer in collaborative leadership, she has spent the last 3 years with less of a transaction execution focus, leading a team of highly intelligent lawyers in the Investment Banking division and is responsible for legal risk management and delivery of legal services. Marita is passionate about building a team of lawyers that truly partner the Investment Banking business in its endeavours to deliver exceptional client experience and innovative solutions.
