A strong community of women empower each other, and Marilyn Maki has had the pleasure of seeing how forming communities with other women can lead to personal and professional development.

Having a teachable spirit has allowed her to establish strong friendships with other women whom she can learn from and lean on in times of need. When she isn’t cooking up a scrumptious meal for her loved ones, she can be found playing a smooth melody on the piano.

Marilyn has never been a person who has felt disempowered by a male-dominated environment; instead, her tenacity has enabled her to thrive in the industry for over 2 decades.

Her current role entails running 2 business units within the Energy and Infrastructure business. Trade Finance, which focuses on bespoke structures for trade and working capital solutions as well as term financing in  Corporate Financing Solutions  for South and Central Africa.

Marilyn has enjoyed a fruitful career throughout the organisation having worked in Operational Risk, Project Finance as well as the London Office focusing on Trade Finance in Oil and Gas.
