Investing In Africa

With over a billion people, spread across 54 recognised countries, linked to one future, Africa is a continent of alluring potential. As a bank whose purpose is, Africa is our home, we drive her growth, we are excited about the economic transformation reshaping Africa. We are invested in Africa and drive her growth through our participation in a number of global conferences.

The Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) is an international conference between Japan and African countries, which is co-hosted by the United Nations, UNDP, Africa Union Commission and World Bank. Find out more about how our delegation at TICAD 7, 28-30 August, will utilise this opportunity to amplify the importance of Africa to Japanese corporates.

The World Economic Forum on Africa convenes in Cape Town, South Africa, 04-06 September 2019, under the theme of “Shaping Inclusive Growth and Shared Futures in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.” We contribute to Africa’s emerging growth story through supporting inclusive economic growth, from within the continent; and by connecting African countries to foreign investment opportunities. Discover more about our invaluable contribution to WEF Africa.

We have a top-level delegation attending the SIBOS (the Swift International Banking Operations Seminar) conference from 23-26 September 2019. We have co-sponsored the event for over 10 years as part of our unwavering commitment to advancing banking in Africa.  Learn more about our engagement at SIBOS on matters affecting our continent, our clients and industry.
