Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited acted as the sole arranger and lender of GHS65 million term debt funding to Kasapreko Company Limited.
The total funding was provided in form of a GHS15 million term loan facility to finance the development of a new manufacturing plant and a GHS50 million revolving credit facility for general corporate purposes. The transaction was to support the expansion of the company’s operations into untapped geographical markets through the establishment of a new beverage factory to serve the northern part of Ghana.
Kasapreko is a wholly-owned Ghanaian business engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, fruit juices and purified bottled water. Kasapreko is the clear leader in the mainstream spirits sector in Ghana with their flagship spirits brand, Alomo Bitters.
The company operates a world-class, ultra-modern plant in Accra, selling their products through an extensive distribution network domestically and exporting to the sub-region, mainly Nigeria. Kasapreko operates as a subsidiary of Pinnacle Group, an indigenous business conglomerate with interests across the consumer value chain and real estate.
This transaction represents a significant milestone as it marked Stanbic’s debut funding to Kasapreko. This deal demonstrated and reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to support local businesses and capabilities to deliver bespoke financing solutions to suit the needs of their clients.Back to all deals
