2008 - Property finance

Standard Bank provided R335 million of debt funding for Dipula to acquire 66 properties from Apex-Hi.This qualified as a BEE transaction and funding is for a term of 2 years.


Medi Clinic Properties, South Africa

2007 - Property finance

Funding was required by Medi Clinic for an offshore acquisition. The Property Finance team worked with our Acquisiton Finance Group to structure an Opco Proco transaction. Funding in Propco was raised over 25 properties, the majority of which were hospitals. We arranged and syndicated a portion of the facility with a hold in excess of R1.5 billion.


Blair Atholl, South Africa

2005 - Property finance

Standard Bank provided finance for Blair Atholl - a lifestyle estate development on Gary Player's orginal farm in Magaliesberg, Gauteng. It is a residential development comprising 330 stands, a world class golf course and equestrian facilities. The total development cost is R550 million with Standard Bank providing funding at peak of R250 million.


Sandton Isle, South Africa

2005 - Property finance

Standard Bank is providing R670 million to finance the Sandton Isle, a mixed use development in Sandton, Gauteng. The development comprises a 5 star Radisson Hotel, 12 upmarket penthouses, office space and showrooms for Aston Martin, Daytona, Rolls Royce and BMW. The development finance will convert to term funding on completion of the development.


Melrose Arch, South Africa

2004 - Property finance

Standard Bank provided finance of R830 million to the developer, Amdec for the development of the Melrose Arch property - a 70000 sqm mixed used development consisting of commercial, residential, retail, hotel and gym. This has now been converted to a 5 year term facility.
