At Standard Bank, we understand the importance of sustainable, job-creating growth in making progress real across Africa. This is seen in our support for start-up business communities across the continent and our focus on women entrepreneurs as drivers of positive change.
Standard Bank is proud to be the lead sponsor of Lionesses of Africa, an initiative that celebrates Africa's women entrepreneurs and supports them in ‘sending the elevator down’ to the next generation of women.
The Lionesses of Africa accelerator programmes are aimed at improving the lives of women entrepreneurs and practically help them to take their businesses to the next level by preparing them to do business with major corporate supply chains.
These Lionesses are also invited to events including the Lionesses of Africa Annual Conference to share their stories and help shape the agenda for women's entrepreneurship on the continent. The conversations from these events continue through an online community, through which women entrepreneurs share their knowledge and experiences to drive accelerated success.
